8-Day Austria & Germany Tour from Prague

Prague as your starting point, Germany and Austria as your playground. Over eight unforgettable days, we’ll take you on a carefully designed private roundtrip through some of the most fascinating, beautiful, and historic places in Central Europe – combining famous cities and landmarks with charming towns, spectacular scenery, and plenty of local experiences along the way.

We’ll begin by heading north to Dresden and Berlin, including the magnificent Sanssouci Palace in nearby Potsdam. From there, we’ll turn south and continue through the historic towns of Wittenberg, home of Martin Luther, and Erfurt, before discovering the charming medieval atmosphere of Bamberg and the fascinating history of Nuremberg, including its important WWII sites.

Next comes Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of Germany’s most enchanting medieval towns, followed by the breathtaking Bavarian Alps. We’ll visit the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle and spend time in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in Germany.

Crossing the Alps into Austria, we’ll arrive in Innsbruck, beautifully nestled between towering peaks, before continuing to magnificent Salzburg and its picturesque lake district – with plenty of opportunities to discover locations made famous by The Sound of Music.

Our journey then takes us to Vienna, Austria’s grand imperial capital, where centuries of history, magnificent palaces, and elegant architecture await.

And before returning to Prague, we’ll make one final stop in Cesky Krumlov – a beautifully preserved UNESCO-listed town where winding medieval streets, Renaissance houses, and the Vltava River create the perfect ending to our journey.
