Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

Please review the following terms & conditions before using our website.

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the My European Guide website and the booking and provision of tours, private transportation, transfers, guided tours and other travel services offered by My European Guide.

By making a booking with My European Guide or using our website, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection or other mandatory laws. Where mandatory law provides you with greater rights than those stated below, the applicable law will prevail.

1. About My European Guide

My European Guide provides private tours, guided sightseeing, private transportation, door-to-door transfers, optional stopovers and customised multi-day tours.

Our services may include transportation, guiding and arrangements involving third-party providers such as hotels, restaurants, attractions or other service providers, depending on the particular booking.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, “My European Guide”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business providing the relevant service, and “you” or “your” refers to the person making the booking and, where applicable, all travellers included in that booking.

2. Bookings and Confirmation

A booking request does not constitute a confirmed reservation until it has been accepted by My European Guide and the required payment has been received, where applicable.

Once your booking has been confirmed, we will provide you with the relevant booking details, including the agreed itinerary, date, starting time, price and payment requirements.

For customised tours or services, the details agreed with you in writing, including by email, form part of your booking.

By making a booking, you confirm that the information you have provided to us is accurate and complete.

3. Prices

The price of each service will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise stated, the agreed price covers only the services specifically described in your booking confirmation.

Additional services, entrance fees, accommodation, meals, parking, tolls or other expenses will only be included where expressly stated in the agreed itinerary or booking confirmation.

For customised itineraries, the final price will be based on the itinerary and services agreed with you before the booking is confirmed.

My European Guide reserves the right to correct obvious pricing or typographical errors before a booking is confirmed.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Day Tours and Transfers

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for day tours, private transfers and similar single-day services is due according to the payment method and schedule stated at the time of booking.

4.2 Multi-Day Tours

For multi-day tours listed on our website:

  • 20% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking to reserve and secure the requested dates.
  • The remaining 80% is due no later than 14 days before the scheduled starting time of the tour.
  • If a booking is made less than 14 days before the scheduled starting time, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

The booking is considered confirmed once the required payment has been received and the booking has been accepted by My European Guide.

4.3 Custom Multi-Day Tours

Multi-day tours that are not listed on our website and are created specifically for a client (“Custom Tours”) will be priced according to the itinerary and arrangements agreed between the client and My European Guide.

Payment for a Custom Tour will be made through a dedicated payment link provided by My European Guide to the client by email.

The payment amount and applicable payment schedule will be based on the agreed itinerary and previous written communication with the client.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide reasonable flexibility for our clients while allowing us to protect arrangements made in advance for vehicles, guides, accommodation and other services.

All cancellation deadlines are calculated according to the local time in the Czech Republic (Central European Time / Central European Summer Time, as applicable).

Cancellation requests should be submitted to My European Guide in writing, preferably by email. The time at which the cancellation request is received by My European Guide will determine the applicable cancellation period.

Any cancellation rights required by applicable consumer or travel legislation will apply in addition to, and take precedence over, the cancellation terms stated below.

5.1 Day Tours and Single-Day Services

For day tours and other single-day services:

  • Cancellation made 72 hours or more before the scheduled starting time is permitted free of charge.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled starting time may be subject to charges based on costs already incurred and the specific terms stated in the booking confirmation.

Where no specific cancellation charge has been agreed for a particular single-day service, My European Guide may retain reasonable amounts already paid to cover non-refundable costs incurred in connection with the booking, subject to applicable law.

5.2 Multi-Day Tours

For multi-day tours listed on our website, the following cancellation charges apply:

Time of cancellationCancellation charge
14 days or more before the tourNo charge
Less than 14 days but more than 7 days before the tour20% of the total tour price
7 days or less but at least 72 hours before the tour40% of the total tour price
Less than 72 hours before the tour60% of the total tour price
No-show60% of the total tour price

The applicable cancellation charge is calculated based on the total agreed price of the tour, not solely on the amount already paid.

Where a cancellation results in a refund being due, the applicable cancellation charge will be deducted from amounts already paid and the remaining balance will be refunded.

5.3 Custom Multi-Day Tours

Custom multi-day tours are subject to the same cancellation schedule unless different cancellation terms have been expressly agreed in writing before the booking is confirmed.

Because Custom Tours may involve individually arranged accommodation, transportation, attractions or other third-party services, certain non-refundable costs may apply where these costs cannot be recovered from the relevant provider.

Any such specific non-refundable arrangements will be communicated to the client where applicable.

5.4 Statutory Cancellation Rights

Nothing in this section limits any statutory right to cancel a travel contract without a cancellation charge where such a right applies under applicable law.

In particular, where mandatory travel or consumer protection legislation provides a traveller with the right to terminate a contract without a fee due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, significant changes to the agreed travel arrangements, or other legally recognised circumstances, those rights will prevail.

6. Changes to an Itinerary

We make every reasonable effort to follow the itinerary agreed at the time of booking.

However, travel conditions can sometimes require reasonable changes. These may include, for example:

  • road closures or traffic restrictions;
  • adverse weather conditions;
  • strikes or public transport disruptions;
  • attraction, museum or site closures;
  • changes imposed by third-party service providers;
  • safety considerations;
  • unforeseen circumstances affecting transportation or access to a destination.

Where reasonably possible, we will inform you of significant changes and, where appropriate, offer a suitable alternative.

If a change is required for safety, operational or other legitimate reasons, My European Guide will make reasonable efforts to preserve the overall character and value of the agreed experience.

Where mandatory law gives you a right to a refund, price reduction, alternative arrangement or termination of the booking, those rights will apply.

7. Accommodation and Third-Party Services

Where accommodation, restaurants, attractions, tickets or other services are arranged through third-party providers, those services may be subject to the provider’s own terms, conditions and cancellation policies.

My European Guide will make reasonable efforts to select reliable service providers and to assist with arrangements where appropriate.

However, third-party services remain subject to their own availability and operational conditions.

Where My European Guide acts as an organiser of a travel package under applicable law, the mandatory responsibilities of a package organiser will apply.

8. Transportation

Transportation provided by My European Guide is subject to applicable traffic, safety and transportation regulations.

The vehicle used for your booking will be appropriate for the number of passengers and luggage agreed at the time of booking.

Passengers are expected to behave responsibly and to follow reasonable instructions given by the driver or guide, particularly where necessary for safety.

The driver or guide may refuse transportation where a passenger’s behaviour presents a serious safety risk to the passenger, the driver, other passengers or the vehicle.

Any refusal of transportation for safety reasons will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the particular booking.

9. Traveller Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate booking and contact information;
  • arriving at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time;
  • ensuring that you have valid travel documents, passports, visas and any required permits;
  • informing us in advance of any special requirements that may affect the provision of the service;
  • complying with applicable laws and reasonable safety instructions during the tour or transfer;
  • taking reasonable care of personal belongings.

My European Guide is not responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from inaccurate information, missing travel documents, late arrival or failure to comply with reasonable instructions.

10. Delays and No-Show

If you are delayed, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate delays where operationally possible. However, significant delays may affect the itinerary or the ability to provide the full service.

If a client fails to appear at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time and does not contact My European Guide, the booking may be treated as a no-show.

No-show bookings are subject to the cancellation terms stated in Section 5, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

11. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the tour or transfer.

My European Guide is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence or otherwise required by applicable law.

We strongly recommend that valuable belongings, travel documents and other important items are kept secure and with you at all times.

12. Health, Mobility and Special Requirements

Clients should inform My European Guide before booking of any mobility limitations, medical or other requirements that may reasonably affect the provision of the requested service.

We will make reasonable efforts to determine whether the requested tour or service is suitable for your requirements.

Certain destinations, attractions, historic sites and walking tours may involve uneven surfaces, stairs, steep paths or other physical requirements.

Where applicable, information regarding accessibility and suitability will be provided before the booking is confirmed.

13. Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances

My European Guide shall not be responsible for failure or delay in providing a service where this is caused by circumstances that could not reasonably have been avoided or overcome.

Such circumstances may include, depending on the circumstances:

  • natural disasters;
  • severe weather;
  • war or serious security threats;
  • government restrictions;
  • major strikes or civil unrest;
  • significant road closures;
  • public health emergencies;
  • or other events beyond our reasonable control.

Where such circumstances affect a booking, we will make reasonable efforts to assist the client and, where possible, offer alternative arrangements.

Where mandatory law provides specific rights to cancellation, refund, compensation or other remedies, those rights will apply.

14. Complaints and Assistance

We want every client to have an enjoyable experience.

If you experience a problem during a tour or service, please inform your guide or contact My European Guide as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to address the issue while the service is being provided.

Complaints should be submitted to:

Email: info@myeuropeanguide.com

We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve complaints promptly.

Where applicable to a travel package, My European Guide will comply with the complaint-handling and traveller-assistance obligations required by applicable law.

15. Liability

My European Guide will provide its services with reasonable care and skill.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, My European Guide will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses that are not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Where My European Guide is acting as an organiser of a travel package, its liability will be governed by the applicable mandatory travel and consumer protection legislation.

16. Intellectual Property

All content published on the My European Guide website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, designs and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to My European Guide unless otherwise stated.

You may view and use the website for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your use of any third-party website is subject to the terms and policies of that website.

18. Privacy and Cookies

The collection and use of personal information through the My European Guide website and our booking process is governed by our separate Privacy Policy.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy or relevant privacy information.

19. Changes to These Terms & Conditions

My European Guide may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable legal requirements.

The version published on our website will be the current version.

Changes will not retroactively alter the contractual terms of a booking that has already been confirmed unless required by applicable law or agreed with the client.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents a consumer from exercising rights granted by mandatory laws of the country in which the consumer is resident, where such rights apply.

Before commencing formal proceedings, we encourage clients to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve any dispute amicably.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be handled by the competent courts and dispute-resolution mechanisms applicable under Czech and European law.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, where legally possible.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the applicable booking confirmation, agreed itinerary, Privacy Policy and any additional written terms expressly agreed with the client, constitute the agreement between My European Guide and the client regarding the relevant service.

Where a specific written agreement or booking confirmation contains terms that differ from these general Terms & Conditions, the specific terms agreed for that booking will apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.
