Transfer from Prague to Munich

Traveling between European cities doesn’t have to mean sacrificing an entire day just getting from one destination to another. With our private door-to-door transfer from Prague to Munich, the journey becomes part of your holiday rather than simply the time between two places.

The direct drive takes approximately 4 hours, but why not make the most of your day? Instead of heading straight to Munich, you can transform your transfer into a memorable sightseeing experience by adding one or two fascinating stopovers along the route.

Choose from a visit to the renowned Rückl Glass Factory, the historic city of Pilsen, or the beautiful Bavarian city of Regensburg. If you prefer, we can take the southern route, where Cesky Krumlov makes for an unforgettable stop before continuing to Munich.

All of these stopover options are already part of the experience we offer, transforming a simple transfer into a memorable journey through the heart of Central Europe. Whichever route you choose, your transfer becomes far more than transportation itself… it becomes another beautiful day of discovering Central Europe.

If you’re planning to visit the Rückl Glass Factory, join a guided tour of the Pilsner Urquell Brewery, or explore Pilsen’s Historical Underground, we recommend making an online reservation in advance. This allows us to adjust your departure time accordingly and ensure everything fits together seamlessly.

To help with planning, the drive from Prague takes approximately 45 minutes to the Rückl Glass Factory and around 1 hour 15 minutes to Pilsen. Of course, we’re always happy to assist you with reservations and recommend the ideal departure time for your day.

Of course, there are several ways to travel between Prague and Munich.

Flying may seem like the quickest option, but once you factor in airport transfers, early check-in, security procedures, waiting for luggage, and arranging transportation at your destination, the overall journey is often much longer and far less convenient.

Trains are a comfortable alternative and offer beautiful views of the countryside, but you’ll still need to manage your luggage between stations, arrange transportation to and from your accommodation, and pass countless remarkable places without the opportunity to explore them.

Our private transfer combines the convenience of door-to-door service with the flexibility to discover some of Central Europe’s most beautiful destinations along the way. Travel in the comfort of our spacious Mercedes V-Class van, enjoy the company of your knowledgeable local driver, stop whenever you wish, and arrive to Munich relaxed – with unforgettable experiences from places many travelers never get the chance to see.

Discover the timeless tradition of Bohemian crystal with a visit to the renowned Rückl Glass Factory, where master craftsmen continue centuries-old glassmaking techniques that have made Czech crystal famous around the world. Learn about the fascinating history of this remarkable craft and watch skilled artisans transform molten glass into beautiful works of art.

If time allows, you can join a guided factory tour and browse the showroom, where you’ll have the opportunity to purchase an authentic piece of handcrafted Bohemian crystal as a lasting reminder of your journey.

This stopover adds approximately 1.5 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a leisurely lunch or a relaxing coffee break.

Discover the city where the world-famous Pilsner style of beer was born with a visit to Pilsen, home of the legendary Pilsner Urquell Brewery. Join a guided brewery tour to learn the fascinating story behind one of the world’s most influential beers and, of course, enjoy a taste of the original.

If beer isn’t your thing, explore the fascinating Pilsen Historical Underground, a remarkable network of medieval tunnels beneath the city, or take a stroll through the beautiful historic center. Highlights include the impressive Republic Square, the magnificent Cathedral of St. Bartholomew with the tallest church tower in the Czech Republic, the elegant Town Hall, and the striking Great Synagogue, one of the largest synagogues in the world.

This stopover adds approximately 2 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a leisurely lunch or a relaxing coffee break.

Discover the timeless beauty of Regensburg, one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set along the banks of the Danube River, this historic gem has over 2,000 years of history, where Roman origins blend seamlessly with magnificent Gothic architecture and charming cobblestone streets.

Stroll through the beautifully preserved old town and discover highlights including the impressive Old Town Hall, Germany’s oldest stone bridge, the historic Old Sausage Kitchen – believed to be the world’s oldest continuously operating public restaurant – the remains of the Roman Porta Praetoria, dating back to 179 AD, and the magnificent Cathedral of St. Peter, one of Bavaria’s finest Gothic landmarks.

This stopover adds approximately 2 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a leisurely lunch or a relaxing coffee break.

Step back more than 600 years and discover the timeless charm of Cesky Krumlov, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval towns and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its winding cobblestone streets, colorful historic buildings, and breathtaking riverside setting, it’s easy to understand why this enchanting town is considered one of the Czech Republic’s greatest treasures.

Make your way up to the magnificent Cesky Krumlov Castle, dramatically perched above the Vltava River, and enjoy spectacular views over the sea of red rooftops and the picturesque old town below.

This stopover adds approximately 3 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a leisurely lunch or a relaxing coffee break.

As with all of our private tours and transfers, flexibility is at the heart of everything we do. The itinerary and stopovers described above are simply our recommendations, designed to inspire you and help you make the most of your journey.

Perhaps you’d prefer to spend more time in one destination and skip another. Maybe you’d like to enjoy a longer lunch, stop for a scenic photo, visit a place that’s not listed here, or simply drive directly to Munich. Whatever your preferences, we’re always happy to tailor the day to suit you.

This is your private transfer, and our goal is to make it as enjoyable, comfortable, and memorable as possible. If there’s something special you’d like to see or do along the way, just let us know – we’ll always do our very best to make it happen.
