Transfer from Prague to Vienna

Schonbrunn Palace at Vienna - Destination of this Transfer

Traveling between European cities doesn’t have to mean sacrificing an entire day just getting from one destination to another. With our door-to-door – private transfer from Prague to Vienna, the journey becomes part of your holiday rather than simply the time between two places.

The direct drive takes approximately 3.5 hours, but why not make the most of your day? Instead of heading straight to Vienna, you can transform your transfer into a memorable sightseeing experience by adding one or two beautiful stopovers along the route.

Choose from the historic town of Kutna Hora, the picturesque UNESCO town of Telc, or the stunning Lednice Chateau. If you prefer, we can take the southern route, where Cesky Krumlov makes for an unforgettable stop before continuing to Vienna.

All of these stopover options are already part of the experience we offer, transforming a simple transfer into a memorable journey through the heart of Central Europe. Whichever route you choose, your transfer becomes far more than transportation itself… it becomes another beautiful day of discovering Central Europe.

Of course, there are several ways to travel between Prague and Vienna.

Flying may seem like the quickest option, but once you factor in airport transfers, early check-in, security procedures, waiting for luggage, and arranging transportation at your destination, the overall journey is often much longer and far less convenient.

Trains are a comfortable alternative and offer beautiful views of the countryside, but you’ll still need to manage your luggage between stations, arrange transportation to and from your accommodation, and pass countless remarkable places without the opportunity to explore them.

Our private transfer combines the convenience of door-to-door service with the flexibility to discover some of Central Europe’s most beautiful destinations along the way. Travel in the comfort of our spacious Mercedes V-Class van, enjoy the company of your knowledgeable local driver, stop whenever you wish, and arrive in Vienna relaxed – with unforgettable experiences from places many travelers never get the chance to see.

Discover the beauty of Kutna Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important medieval towns in Europe. Once the heart of the Kingdom of Bohemia’s silver mining industry, its immense wealth helped shape the prosperity and influence of the Czech Kingdom during the Gothic period.

Explore magnificent landmarks including the stunning St. Barbara’s Cathedral, the fascinating Sedlec Ossuary, the historic Italian Court, the Museum of Silver, the elegant Jesuit College, the beautifully restored Dacicky House, and the charming medieval streets that give Kutna Hora its unforgettable atmosphere.

This stopover adds approximately 2.5 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a coffee break or lunch.

Step into the fairy-tale town of Telc, one of the Czech Republic’s most beautiful Renaissance gems and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. Founded in the 12th century, the town flourished as an important stop along the historic trading route between Prague and Vienna, leaving behind an architectural treasure that has remained remarkably well preserved.

Stroll through the picturesque Zacharias of Hradec Square, admire the elegant Telc Chateau with its tower and beautiful gardens, and enjoy a peaceful walk around the scenic fishponds that surround the historic center.

This stopover adds approximately 1.5 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a coffee break or lunch.

Experience the elegance of Lednice Chateau, one of the Czech Republic’s most magnificent Neo-Gothic landmarks and part of the UNESCO-listed Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape. Once the summer residence of the noble Liechtenstein family, the estate is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, peaceful parkland, and romantic walking paths that invite you to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

If time allows, you can join a guided tour of the chateau’s lavish interiors or sample some of the excellent local wines produced in one of the Czech Republic’s most renowned wine regions.

This stopover adds approximately 2.5 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a coffee break or lunch.

Step back more than 600 years and discover the timeless charm of Cesky Krumlov, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval towns and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its winding cobblestone streets, colorful historic buildings, and breathtaking riverside setting, it’s easy to understand why this enchanting town is considered one of the Czech Republic’s greatest treasures.

Make your way up to the magnificent Cesky Krumlov Castle, dramatically perched above the Vltava River, and enjoy spectacular views over the sea of red rooftops and the picturesque old town below.

This stopover adds approximately 3 hours to your transfer, plus any additional time you’d like to spend enjoying a leisurely lunch or a relaxing coffee break.

As with all of our private tours and transfers, flexibility is at the heart of everything we do. The itinerary and stopovers described above are simply our recommendations, designed to inspire you and help you make the most of your journey.

Perhaps you’d prefer to spend more time in one destination and skip another. Maybe you’d like to enjoy a longer lunch, stop for a scenic photo, visit a place that’s not listed here, or simply drive directly to Vienna. Whatever your preferences, we’re always happy to tailor the day to suit you.

This is your private transfer, and our goal is to make it as enjoyable, comfortable, and memorable as possible. If there’s something special you’d like to see or do along the way, just let us know – we’ll always do our very best to make it happen.
